Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Surgery in Oregon OH
Join a dedicated medical team at a community hospital in Oregon Ohio providing essential care as a General Surgeon. This hospital features a Level 3 Trauma Center and offers a collaborative environment supported by experienced staff. As a locum physician youll play a vital role in maintaining high standards of surgical care during key dates in 2025.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide hospital-based general surgery and Level 3 trauma coverage.
- Manage general surgery consults and trauma cases within the hospital setting.
- Perform general surgical procedures including adult trauma cases cholecystectomy and hernioplasty.
- Participate in on-call duties at a ratio of 15-20 per 24-hour period.
- Collaborate with an Advanced Practice Provider regarding patient referrals and inquiries.
- Maintain documentation using the Epic electronic medical record system.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in General Surgery (Required)
- BLS ACLS and ATLS certification (Required)
- Active Ohio medical license (Required); No IMLC candidates considered
- Clean professional history and file
- Case logs from the last 12 months demonstrating surgical experience required for presentation
- Proximity to Ohio preferred
- Must be available for specified dates in July 2025
License and Certification Requirements:
- Ohio medical license (Required)
- Board Certification in General Surgery (Required)
- BLS ACLS and ATLS certifications (Required)
