Job Description
Friends Select School is seeking a number of part-time After School Program (ASP) teachers to care for
and supervise those students in our After School Program during the 2025-26 school year. The programs
focus is on Pre-K-5th grade and is organized in a classroom-based manner. Ideal candidates will be
reliable flexible and will bring their own unique interests into those classrooms with engaging age
appropriate activities. Whether it is knitting theater painting music/film production gaming or coding we
are looking for creative individuals to staff our program. Individuals with a current lifeguard certification are
also needed. This is a part time position with hours from 2:30-6 PM Monday through Friday as well as full
day coverage during school vacations/closings. There is also the opportunity for additional hours through
substitute teaching. All ASP teachers will be required to attend an orientation during mid-August.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide consistent leadership and care to ones assigned homeroom
Create innovative engaging and age appropriate activities for the students
Adhere to set schedule and program guidelines
Present professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard that
supports the Friends Select mission and community guidelines
Follow the schools health and safety guidelines
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Experience working directly with school age children
Classroom management experience
Comfort working on Zoom and Google Workspace platforms
Required Trainings and Certifications:
Successful completion of state requirements including but not limited to the following clearances:
PA State Criminal Background Check FBI Fingerprint Check and PA Child Abuse Clearance
Willingness to complete various online trainings as required by the school
Hourly Pay: $19/hr
