This National Historic Landmark situated on the banks of scenic Bayou Lafourche near Thibodaux was the residence of two of Louisianas foremost political figures: Edward Douglas White who was governor from 1835 to 1839 and his son Edward Douglass White who was appointed to the United States Supreme Court in 1894 and served as chief justice from 1910 to 1921. An exhibit in this historic home tells the story of the Bayou Lafourche area with features on the Chitimacha Indians Acadian settlers slavery sugar cane plantations and the White family.One year of experience or training in the building construction trades building maintenance maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
Six semester hours in construction management construction technology or engineering or any combination of these courses.

Appointment Type: This position will be filled as a part-time Classified WAE limited to 1245 working hours in a 12 month period. **Starting Hourly Pay varies depending on experience.**
Work Schedule:The E.D. White Museums is open to the public 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM on Tuesday-Saturday; this position may be required to work weekends and/or holidays.How To Apply:
