Job Description
- Data Scientist-IWC Support Services
- Employment Type: Part Time
- Location: Crystal City VA and various other sites
- This position is contingent upon contract award.
The Data Scientist -IWC Support Services is primarily responsible for providing data analytics support to the IWC staff to facilitate research and decision-making.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build visualizations using data on hand to enable analysis and effects simulation via graph and machine learning technology.
- Aid in decreasing bias generate higher-quality intelligence assessments and enable accurate rapid decision making through data science production.
- Support research in understanding social networks influence operations and anomaly detection.
- Access a range of data analysis tools to support IWC research methods and instruction.
- Support research through objective data driven statistics using machine learning capabilities to build descriptive and high-quality assessments with actionable insights for researchers and students.
- Collaborate closely with the Program Manager to align engagements and other work with the project plan.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Data Analytics International Affairs Public Policy or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with DoD assessment methodologies and reporting frameworks.
- Strong ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technology and big data.
- Experience with statistical software and data visualization tools.
- Ability to travel internationally as .
- Must possess a Secret security clearance.
