The Curriculum Developer Assistant-IWC Support Services provides academic support services to IWC functional networks and students in the fields of national security international affairs international relations and irregular warfare.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop tailored operational and strategic level IW curriculum for DoD US interagency partners and Allies to fill critical IW education and training gaps that IWC SMEs identify through assessments of current IW curriculum educational shortfalls lessons learned and operational requirements to successfully address emerging and future threat trends.
- Work with a design team of instructors SMEs and graphic artists to interpret materials from the client to produce engaging and effective interactive learning products create course assets from approved GFI and use content development tools to create learning objects.
- Develop relevant content for publication on a quarterly basis for IWC and conduct outreach with Partners Allies and Civilian institutions to amplify IWCs mission and vision.
- Work in both classified and open-source domains to develop threat-based assessments on IW and gray zone activities by state and non-state actors. Synthesize findings into written reports suitable for building unclassified curriculum products.
- Assist in developing IW evaluation and validation programs.
- Provide IWC academic instruction for U.S. Allies and partners participating in various exercises.
- Develop the ability to test and evaluate government approved new technologies within established State level training and exercise programs.
- Integrate new technologies into the various IW lessons learned repositories and link appropriately to the IWCs Joint Lessons Learned portal.
- Collaborate closely with the Program Manager to align engagements and other work with the project plan.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years relevant experience supporting US Government interagency and multinational training and education efforts including designing training and educational materials for DoD Government and/or Federal Agency clients.
- Working knowledge on Irregular Warfare Gray zone activities functional understanding of the policy process and Washington D.C. diplomatic and military organizations and culture and the ability to interact with senior foreign representatives.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with a variety of audiences at all levels of the organization.
- Shall be a U.S. citizen.
- Some travel expected including overseas travel.
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in graphics design Adult Education Computer Science (specialization in Computer Graphics) or related discipline.
