Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientedCNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to read and interpret blueprints use precision measuring tools and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills lathes etc.) to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work orders.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers and gauges to inspect parts and ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to resolve production issues.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience operating CNC machinery.
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
- Excellent understanding of measurement systems and geometric tolerancing.
- Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift up to insert weight e.g. 50 lbs.
