Department Overview:
This role will be a part of TDs U.S. Recovery and Resolution Planning team specifically supporting rule federation and industry engagement. Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) is an enterprise-wide function that ensures TD is prepared to address severe financial stress conditions and implements our practices and oversight of financial crisis management. The RRP function is closely integrated with multiple lines of business key control functions and Risk Management to maintain strategies and capabilities that support recovery and resolution preparedness. The RRP team is responsible for coordinating developing and maintaining TDs U.S. Recovery and Resolution Plans and other regulatory submissions as required under the Dodd-Frank Act and other applicable regulations. This role will act as a industry liaison for regulatory policy including engagement with trade associations; will be responsible for monitoring regulatory changes leading impact assessment of new regulations and maintaining US RRP rule federation.
The Senior Recovery and Resolution Planning Manager manages complex Recovery and Resolution Planning strategies and assessments for multiple work streams within the Recovery and Resolution planning function.
Depth & Scope:
- Recognized as top level expert within the company and requires significant in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in their in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas
- Provides technical expertise general direction quality control and subject matter expertise to the team
- Senior Manager providing advisory services to executives business segment leaders and governs the requirements for own work
- Maintains RRP policies and procedures and oversee timely updates
- Oversees capabilities and controls testing for multiple work streams within the Recovery and Resolution Planning function
- Leads development of whole testing streams to support crisis capabilities and/or resolvability of the Bank
- Manages content development for RRP documentation
- Leads and manages internal and external relationships and collaborates with SMEs across the organization
- Represents the function on cross-industry working groups and forums as well as participate in meetings with regulators
- Implements RRP capabilities within the function as well as other impacted areas
- Leads meetings

Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance or Economics or Masters degree in Finance
- 7 years experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in financial contingency planning liquidity/capital management regulatory risk legal or compliance organizations in a financial institution.
- 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance conducting regulatory change impact assessments and participating in industry calls and round-tables
- Experience reporting on financial results as well as providing forecasts and financial plans
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements issued by the Federal Reserve FDIC and OCC
- Experience implementing programs to satisfy regulatory requirements
- Experience with the WDesk/Workiva platform.
- Experience working across a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders to achieve a common result.
- Excellent analytical risk assessment and investigative skills.
- Must work independently and demonstrate an ability to take initiative and identify more efficient ways to execute.

- Designs implements and enhances the strategies and processes for recovery and resolution planning
- Leads the interpretation of new regulatory guidance operationalize it for responsible areas within the Bank and ensures that the Bank meets regulatory expectations within work streams owned Manage risk associated with sharing CSI
