Warehouse General Labor Box Sorter - Incentive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Box Sorter to join our Mira Loma team. This role is responsible for manually processing and sorting boxes to meet PLAs quality standards and production goals. If you are a reliable detail-oriented individual comfortable with physical tasks in a fast-paced environment this position offers a great opportunity to earn higher wages based on your performance.

Pay Rate: Please refer to the attached piece rate plan for more information about that system.

• Starting Hourly Rate: The new starting hourly rate is $18.00 per hour.
• Performance-Based Pay: You have the opportunity to earn higher wages based on your weekly performance measured by Volume per Hour (VPH). The VPH metric is calculated as the total number of pallets sorted in a week divided by the total hours worked in that week.
• Bonus Bands: There are six tiers of hourly pay increases available ranging from $1.00 to $6.00 per hour.
• Total Potential Hourly Rate: Your total hourly rate can reach up to $24.00 per hour with bonuses included.
• Alternate Pay Rate: If you are assigned a job role other than Sorter an alternative pay rate of $18.00 per hour will apply.

What Youll Be Doing:

As a Box Sorter your primary responsibilities will include:

• Breaking down boxes that are not received in a broken-down state.

• Inspecting boxes for damage and reuse.

• Stickering boxes acceptable for reuse by covering barcodes.

• Palletizing boxes by size.

• Meeting or exceeding daily production requirements with a standard production goal of at least one pallet per hour.

• Maintaining a clean and orderly work area throughout the shift.

• Complying with all Propak policies and procedures as well as federal and state safety rules.

• Assisting with other duties as assigned to support and improve overall team operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand walk bend stoop reach and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.

• Capable of repeatedly handling lifting and moving boxes of varying sizes and weights.

• Requires good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for breaking down inspecting and stickering boxes.

• Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment.

• Good vision for inspecting boxes and performing sorting tasks accurately.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold) and moderate noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
