This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis IN for a Procurement Intern.

Summary:

• The PurchasingIntern will gain exposure and experience in:
• First-hand experience of the work cycle associated with the procurement of goods and services
• Experience the critical interfaces of Procurement with the other vital functions in the business enterprise
• Participate in the challenging and dynamic aspects of interactions with a large global industrial based supply base
• Apply critical thinking skills applied to prioritized projects and programs
• Experience first-hand the opportunity to gather relevant data establish a project plan prepare a proposal seek approval and execute a plan
• Gain exposure to industry standards and best practices for manufacturing based processes and products
• Meeting a diverse group of dedicated professionals and peers who are driven by continuous learning improving the products and processes and who are inspired to grow in new markets with innovative products

Responsibilities:

• Completing challenging and meaningful projects in a face paced environment
• Functioning as a critical liaison between manufacturing team the supply base and the companys internal organization
• Analyzing preparing and reporting on business-critical information to the broader Procurement team
• Offer valuable continuous improvement recommendations on various technical and business based processes within Procurement
• Experience:
• Education Requirement: College undergraduate or graduate status with 1-3 years at an accredited college or university pursuing an academic field of study related to Supply Chain Management Logistics Business or Management.
• Required Experience:
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• Analytical ability to solve complex problems.
• Due to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Intern must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident.
