A role in Property Management means the opportunity to maximize the performance and longevity of Targets assets while delivering value reliability and brand integrity. Leverage and stretch your skills whether your focus is electrical and plumbing fire and security smart buildings HVAC and refrigeration waste management and recycling donations programs or energy utility expense management. Here your work will exceed the needs of both Target guests and team members delivering a holistically positive and pleasing experience every time they walk through our doors.
As the Senior Program Owner - Waste Services you will lead Targets municipal solid waste (MSW) program and drive special project initiatives with a zero-waste mindset directly supporting the companys enterprise sustainability goals through Target Forward. You will be accountable for the overall waste/trash business including program optimization process improvements across the network of locations financial management (budgeting forecasting and actuals review) and oversight of external vendor partnerships. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with teams across Property Management Target Properties and other key areas such as Finance Global Supply Chain and Logistics Store Operations and Merchandising. You will also lead Targets Waste Audit Program using audit insights to track diversion progress and identify opportunities to reduce landfill contributions from recycling and food waste. Leveraging data and analytics you will identify trends uncover spend outliers and drive improvements in service reliability and cost efficiency. This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually depending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day. Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated expertise in program ownership facilities management or sustainability operations.
Proven ability to prioritize effectively and lead innovation initiatives with a strong emphasis on diversion and zero-waste strategies.
Strong financial acumen and experience in vendor management.
Skilled in leading cross-functional collaboration and driving strategic initiatives.
Analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and intellectual curiosity.
Excellent verbal written and presentation communication skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders build strong relationships and lead through change.
