Job Description Summary
The Safe Ride program operates Monday- Saturday during the evening hours. Duties include answering phones recording information assisting the driver with navigation assisting in the safe loading/unloading of the vehicle and relaying information over a two-way radio and driving Students Faculty and Staff to locations within the Safe Ride Boundaries Must help in providing a safe environment filing and data entry. Must be able to learn new processes. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong decision-making ability. Must have the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of the campus and surrounding areas. Ability to communicate nightly with Public Safety supervision Must know the positions of driver and navigator Be able to set an example for other shift mates
Responsibilities
Safe Ride program operates Monday- Saturday during the evening hours The Safe Ride Shift Lead will be expected to drive a Safe Ride van and give escort to visitors students staff and faculty along with providing safety assistance to those in need. Must help in providing a safe environment filing and data entry. Answer phones and relay directions to other drivers via a two-way radio. Ability to provide assistance to passengers on boarding and off-boarding as needed. Must be punctual and have the ability to work late hours. Ability to follow directions. Basic office skills including computer skills and organization skills. Must possess excellent customer service skills and have good attention to detail. Must be able to learn new processes Work as a Dispatcher or Navigator as needed Make sure current work guidelines are being adhered to Submit nightly reports or activity and issues Perform additional duties as assigned by Public Safety Supervisior

Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively. Basic office skills including computer skills organization skills customer service skills and attention to detail. Must have previously worked for Safe Ride and have FWS Must be able to work one or more of the following shifts: Monday-Wednesday 7:30PM 1230AM Thursday 7:30PM 2:00AM FridaySaturday 7:30PM 2:30AM
