Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Interventional Pain Management team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients with acute and chronic pain through comprehensive assessment evidence-based treatment and procedural support. This position involves both direct patient care and collaboration with physicians in a fast-paced patient-centered environment.

Requirements

Masters degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.

Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of practice.

Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic urgent care or a related field preferred.

Strong clinical skills and ability to perform orthopedic assessments and procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach to care.

Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and manage high patient volumes under pressure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including medical history physical examinations and review of diagnostic imaging and laboratory results.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Assist in and/or perform interventional pain management procedures (e.g. trigger point injections joint injections nerve blocks epidural steroid injections) under physician supervision as permitted by state law and credentialing.
  • Prescribe medications and manage pharmacological therapies in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide pre-procedural and post-procedural patient education ensuring understanding of care plans and follow-up instructions.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians nurses physical therapists and behavioral health providers to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in interventional pain management.
