APPRENTICE CARPENTER

About the Role:
Street Building Company is currently seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Carpenter to join their team. The successful applicant will work alongside the experienced Director/Builder and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of residential building tasks. From demolition and site preparation through to framing roofing interior finishing and client handovers the apprentice will be exposed to all stages of the residential construction process.
General Duties Include:
Assisting with all on-site carpentry and building work
Learning and applying skills across framing roofing cladding and finishing
Supporting demolition labouring and site preparation
Maintaining a clean safe and organised work environment
Following instructions from the Director and tradespeople
Engaging with team members and clients in a respectful and professional manner

Essential Skills & Requirements:
Basic understanding of hand and power tools
Basic knowledge of residential building sites
Clear communication skills and willingness to ask questions
Ability to follow WHS procedures and contribute to a safe worksite
Essential Selection Criteria:
Current drivers licence and reliable transport to various job sites across Perth
Completion or near-completion of a pre-apprenticeship in carpentry (preferred but not essential)
Preference will be given to candidates available for day release TAFE study rather than block release
