Every day Cambias dedicated team of Member Engagement Specialists is living our mission to make health care easier and lives better. As a member of the Care Management team our Member Engagement Specialists initiate outbound member contact for Regence Care Management Programs educate members about health benefits and resources while using motivational interviewing techniques to encourage engagement and document all interactions in care management platforms while coordinating with Care Managers to ensure appropriate referrals and resource connections all in service of making our members health journeys easier.

What You Bring to Cambia:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of customer service experience in call centers insurance retail banking restaurants hospitals medical offices or similar customer-facing roles
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Preferred: Medical certification such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant
Preferred: Experience in health plan customer service clinical intake provider offices or health coaching
Skills and Attributes:
Strong communication and customer service skills with ability to handle sensitive topics using empathy active listening and maintaining strict confidentiality
Excellent written and verbal communication with proper grammar spelling and proofreading abilities
Administrative and technical proficiency including data entry Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills
Multi-tasking and organizational abilities with proven skills in prioritizing workload meeting deadlines and working independently
Medical knowledge and problem-solving skills including basic medical terminology and creative research abilities
Adaptability and decision-making in fast-paced complex environments while learning new procedures and policies
Team collaboration and flexibility including ability to work varied schedules and demonstrate initiative in resolving member issues
What You Will Do at Cambia:
Contact members through outbound calls and emails for Regence Care Management Programs and initiatives
Use motivational interviewing techniques to encourage member participation in health-related activities and programs
Educate members about benefits tools and resources for preventive screenings and treatment plan adherence
Collaborate with Care Managers to identify member needs and provide referrals to appropriate clinical resources
Document all interactions using care management platforms to track member engagement and progress
The expected hiring range for a Member Engagement Specialist is $21.10-26.00 an hour depending on skills experience education and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history. The bonus target for this position is 5%. The current full salary range for this role is $19.00 - $34.40 an hour.
