FacultyKey Roles and Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate nursing students in a variety of courses and settings (didactic courses online courses clinical settings simulation and clinical laboratory settings) in the undergraduate nursing program.
Participate in ongoing course and curriculum development implementation and evaluation activities.
Participate in service-related activities (serving on committees/task forces mentoring students assigning clinical placements etc.) to support the mission of the school.
Collaborate with other KU nursing faculty on both campuses.
Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing and to collaborate effectively with individuals across various roles and functions.
Develop and implements special projects as necessary.

Required Qualifications
Education:
Graduate nursing degree (Masters or Doctorate).
Certification/License:
Possess a registered nurse (RN) license from the Kansas State Board of Nursing (or be eligible for a RN license in Kansas).
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements institutional standards of academic and professional excellence alignment with peer institution benchmarks and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.
Preferred Qualifications
Work Experience:
Teaching experience in a nursing program
Experience teaching in a simulation laboratory setting.
Experience developing implementing and evaluating courses; and the overall baccalaureate curriculum.
Experience serving as or working with clinical preceptors.
Healthcare experience working in rural areas.
