Job Title: Plato Teacher
Immediate Supervisor: Principal
Salary: Hourly Wage

Display enthusiasm for the learning process including participation in professional development classes.
Work with other staff as a team.
Specific Duties:
Encourage the progress of individual students. Maintain an inviting safe orderly environment.
Be responsible for classroom management and student discipline. Be responsible for maintenance of the program area.
Know emergency procedures.
Record daily census as instructed by the site coordinator.
- Keep an accurate record of all Plato students and their contract information
- Monitor the progress of the 50 Contract Students on Plato
- Progress report emailed to parents biweekly.
- Enter Attendance daily
- Enter grades at the end of each quarter if possible (courses need to be added to powerschool first)
- Pull weekly Learner Daily usage report and file in binder
- Notify guidance of completed courses on the Plato Credits spreadsheet each Friday.
- Unlock activities and tests for students
- Contact parents/students who are not logging on coming to school or adhering to the Plato contract.
- Email all students to let them know how to contact the Plato teacher hours of availability rules of unlocking tests reminder of log on requirements ect.
- Provide reports to school administration as requested
- Communicate with Home Liaison for Home visits for students who are incommunicado
- Meet weekly with administration and home liaison to discuss overall progress and drop/add decisions.
Requirements
Indiana Teaching License
Reliable transportation.
Excellent record in previous employment. Excellent attendance record.
Criminal background check required.
Previous experience working with students in a diverse setting.
