Locum Physician - Primary Care in Richmond VA
Join a vibrant primary care practice located in the heart of Richmond Virginia with a strong focus on family care. We are seeking a Locum Primary Care Physician to support our team due to upcoming staff changes. This practice offers a diverse patient population modern facilities and a collaborative environment with opportunities to work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to a diverse patient population including adults pediatric newborn and geriatric patients.
- Conduct routine examinations and assessments to ensure patients health needs are met.
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and patient records management.
- Engage in required medicine procedures such as adult outpatient care minor surgical procedures like suturing and general outpatient pediatric care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Work scheduled shifts of 8 hours three times a week providing care in a supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice - REQUIRED
- Active Virginia medical license - REQUIRED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must hold a current and valid medical license in Virginia with the ability to expedite license acquisition if necessary.
- Board certification in relevant specialties is mandatory.
- BLS certification is required for all applicants.
