Job Description
Work for a growing Northern New Jersey area high-tech manufacturing company
Summary - CNC Lathe Machinist Set-up/Operator/Programmer
Established ISO-certified contract manufacturer seeking full-time dedicated CNC Lathe MACHINIST
Responsibilities:
-Performs SET UP PROGRAM TEST FIRST PIECE PROVE-OUT RUN in-process inspections and CNC
Lathes to machine precision parts.
-Works with production and engineering teams to address and resolve production issues in CNC Lathes.
-Responsible for selecting tools holders and setting up tooling parameters
-Responsible for ensuring that the lathe machines are well maintained
-Working in accordance with ISO requirements.
-Plus to know drilling tapping reaming boring milling 2D and 3D parts
Requirements:
-STRONG WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF SET-UP TECHNIQUES FOR PRODUCTION AND PROTOTYPES
-STRONG WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF CNC SETUP AND EDITING WITH G & M CODES
-ABILITY TO SET-UP & OPERATE with STAINLESS STEEL TOOL STEEL AND ALL FERROUS AND NON-FERROUS METALS
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Mastercam
-Minimum 3 years Machining or Lathe experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
-Measurement and inspection skills a must.
-Strong knowledge of Blueprint reading with GD&T required.
-Working within the ISO 9001 quality standard required.
Skills Knowledge Abilities:
-Must have a strong aptitude in mechanical blueprints and drawings
-Must be very detail oriented.
-Strong math skills.
-Ability to follow process plans routers and inspection plans.
-Has a strong background with workplace safety OSHA regulations.
-Must be able to effectively communicate with employees of varying education levels.
-Have an understanding of ISO quality standards and requirements.
-Must be experienced in measuring tools such as micrometers calipers height gage dial indicators.
Salary Range 25-26 per hour
