POSITION SPECIFICS
The Strength Trainer plans evaluates and implements the strength training and conditioning programs for intercollegiate athletics team and club sports and the University community; develops and enforces safety policies for training environments; selects and monitors athletic equipment; serves as an educational resource for classes camps and clinics; assists in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes; acquires and maintains relevant professional certifications; follows NCAA and conference policies.
MINIMUM EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree 3 years of relevant experience Required Certifications: Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification - Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association; National Strength and Conditioning AssociationBACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid drivers license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.SALARY & BENEFITS

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988 Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
