Job Description
Job Opportunity: Hematologist/Oncologist
Join our dedicated cancer care team and make a difference in the lives of patients in Grand Rapids Michigan. We are committed to providing high-quality innovative healthcare services. As a full-time clinical Hematologist/Oncologist you will work in a state-of-the-art facility with access to a comprehensive oncology service line and a network of support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full-spectrum hematology and oncology patient care including new patient referrals active treatment and follow-up care.
- Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the patient experience.
- Work between two leading cancer centers: Richard J. Lacks Sr. Cancer Center and Johnson Family Cancer Center.
- Access subspecialties such as Radiation Oncology Surgical Oncology and others within a comprehensive multi-disciplinary oncology service line.
- Oversight of ancillary support staff including advanced practice providers infusion services and nurse navigation.
- Engage in research and clinical trials benefiting from an affiliation with the University of Michigan.
- Open to new graduates and visa candidates (H1B only).
Qualifications:
- Fellowship-trained in Hematology/Oncology (required).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (must achieve board certification within 2 years).
- Active Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain one (required).
- Clean malpractice history preferred.
- DEA certification or willingness to obtain (required).
- BLS and ACLS certifications or willingness to obtain (required).
Licensure & Certification Requirements:
- Must possess or be willing to obtain an active Michigan medical license.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
- Board certification preferred (must be certified within 2 years).
- DEA license required.
