Job Summary

John Crane is seeking a results-driven and strategic Internal Sales Manager to lead the development of a newly created internal sales support team across the United States. This role will focus on streamlining and centralizing quotation and selection activities to reduce the commercial workload on our field sales engineering group and enhance customer response effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities a deep understanding of internal sales operations and the drive to build and scale a high-performing team from the ground up.  The focus of this team will be to deliver quality quotations and responses to our customers to meet or exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a centralized internal sales support team (projected team size of 8) responsible for handling standard quotations and product selection across the U.S.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Engineering to offload Level 1 quoting tasks and improve overall sales efficiency.
  • Define track and continuously improve key performance indicators including quotation volume quotation timeliness and quotation accuracy.
  • Work with stakeholders (e.g. Sales Engineering Quality Operations) to ensure alignment communication and seamless handoffs.
  • Work within the established global enquiry to cash process to implement scalable processes for managing incoming customer inquiries centralizing email communication and driving workflow efficiency.
  • Serve as a hands-on contributor for escalated customer quotation clarifications and ensure timely and accurate resolution.
  • Travel to regional offices (e.g. Swedesboro Tulsa Norcross) to support team oversight training and collaboration.

Qualifications :

  • 5 years of experience in sales support commercial operations or inside salespreferably in an industrial or engineering environment.
  • Experience with quotation systems CRM platforms and customer order workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle escalations and remove roadblocks for the team.
  • Should be a strong people leader focusing on developing the teams skill sets
