Job Description
Locum - Physician - Family Medicine - Obstetrics
Summary:
Join our dedicated team in Garden City Kansas where we provide comprehensive family medicine and obstetric care at a facility recognized for its commitment to community health. You will play a vital role in ensuring quality healthcare services while enjoying the beautiful surroundings and vibrant atmosphere of Garden City.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide obstetric care including new and established obstetrics gynecology issues and surgical consultations.
- Manage 24-hour on-call shifts encompassing all obstetric emergencies and gynecology cases.
- Perform necessary OB/GYN procedures with a focus on achieving delivery and C-section targets.
- Collaborate with support staff and fellow practitioners including CRNAs and midwives.
- Ensure timely documentation and interaction through EPIC EMR.
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
- Participate in facility education and training programs as required.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Family Medicine Obstetrics (FMOB) or truly board eligible.
- Minimum 50 deliveries and 50 C-sections performed in the last 24 months.
- Demonstrated current competence in OB/GYN practices.
- Experience with EMR systems particularly EPIC is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Kansas Medical License highly preferred but open to candidates willing to obtain.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Active DEA registration required for credentialing.
- Completion of required EMR training prior to the start date.
- Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
