Mars Petcare (Greenies) is looking to hire a Utility Machine Operator at our climate-controlled Kansas City MO location!

Utility Machine Operators are learning to become experts in their assigned area and are highly functional in multiple areas. Utility Machine Operators must work safely at all times. They will ensure efficiency operational conformance product quality and drive continuous improvement.
Utility Machine Operators function as a member of an area team which is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. They operate/change over specified machinery in the assigned area in the prescribed amount of time. Utility Machine Operators must have the skill set to perform the tasks of other associates in the area as needed. This job requires Strong Communication Interpersonal and Team Building skills to support site objectives.
What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment
- 1 year of manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Standing for extended time periods & mobility to climb stairs and ladders
What will be your key responsibilities
- Moving packaged product off the production lines
- Reading and verifying date codes
- Packing materials from the lines
- Counting bones
- Feeding bags onto the line
- Inserting promotional materials into product packages
- Making boxes/trays
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Active participation in the Safety Programs
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a positive attitude.
- Demonstrate afood safetyquality culture in actions words and spirit.
- General packaging and other productions duties as assigned
