About Dow Jones Global Risk Insights
Global Risk Insights combines the expertise of Dragonfly and Oxford Analytica to deliver geopolitical macroeconomic and global security risk analysis. Our clients include multinational corporations governments NGOs and financial institutions who rely on us for timely actionable insights.
About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Analyst focused on Russia and Eurasia. This role covers Russia Belarus Ukraine Moldova Azerbaijan Armenia Georgia Kazakhstan Kyrgyzstan Tajikistan Turkmenistan Uzbekistan and the regional bodies that include them.
You will bring deep expertise in the politics and economies of this region strong analytical and writing skills and a working knowledge of Russian. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field (politics economics or international relations) and prior experience in government academia or an analytical organization. Candidates with an MA and significant professional experience will also be considered.
You will
Commission and edit submissions for the Oxford Analytica Daily Brief and related products ensuring clarity accuracy and relevance.
Write executive summaries and short analysis and after authorization proof and approve briefs prepared by colleagues.
Manage and develop a network of external contributors and regional specialists.
Actively participate in daily editorial meetings and keep contributor spending within budget.
Contribute regional expertise to other Dow Jones analysis products and departments.
Represent Oxford Analytica in client meetings external engagements and broadcast media.
Mentor junior analysts and support recruitment and training.
Take part in ad hoc projects client engagement and editorial responsibilities as needed.
Foster a collaborative respectful and professional working environment.
You have
A relevant MA or PhD in politics economics international relations or a related field.
Professional experience analyzing the politics and economy of Russia and Eurasia.
Working knowledge of Russian.
Strong analytical organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
A proactive collaborative mindset and the ability to work across teams.
