The Role
As an iOS developer you will join Viaplay with the mission of bringing the best user experience to our customers by being part of the Product Area Attraction Acquisition and Activation. The purpose of this Product Area is to attract new customers and convert them to become subscribers of Viaplay.
You will join a cross-functional team and deliver engineering solutions aligned with technical and product long-term visions. Youll mainly focus on developing and improving our iOS app but youll also jump into cross-team and cross-area initiatives every now and then. We like to collaborate beyond our own backyard.

What were looking for
To be a fit for our current needs we believe you are working as a Mobile Developer with a focus on iOS development. Although this role would include development of both our iOS and tvOS apps tvOS experience is not mandatory and you will be supported by our iOS developer community. If you also have experience working on other technical platforms such as Android Web Backend etc. we would be blown away.
Some of your daily tasks will include:
- Running and taking ownership of technical design complexity assessment development test and deployment
- Collaboration with other teams in an exciting and agile development process
- Working with video-oriented content and video player
- Improving our product iterations based on consumer feedback and behavior data
Ideal candidates also meet the following requirements:
- Broad experience in developing customer-focused iOS app using Swift
- A relevant degree or an equivalent level of work experience
- Solid experience of working in an agile environment
- Dedication to unit testing code review and other quality-oriented practices
Bonus requirements:
- Experience in Objective-C
- Experience with Fastlane
- Experience with tvOS
- Have used or tried out modern Apple Frameworks e.g. Structured Concurrency Combine or SwiftUI
- Experience working on apps that are live in App Store
- Dedication to CI automation and other efficient workflow-oriented practices
