Job Title: Mobile App Development Architect
Location: San Antonio TX (Day 1 Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Note: Experience: 12 years total (5 years with Mobile development technologies).
About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Mobile App Development Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of next-generation Mobile application development services for insurance carriers using latest technologies covering both Android and iOS platform. This role is critical in aligning enterprise digital strategies as businesses strive to create innovative and user-friendly mobile applications. The ideal candidate must possess a diverse skill set to tackle the challenges of app development effectively from proficiency in programming languages such as Java Swift or Kotlin to expertise in mobile app development frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of experience in mobile application development with at least 2 years in an architect or lead developer role.
Expertise in more than one mobile development frameworks (e.g. React Native Flutter Xamarin Swift Kotlin Java).
Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns (e.g. MVC MVVM MVP Clean Architecture).
Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs JSON and web services.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps Git).
Familiarity with mobile UI/UX design principles and platform-specific guidelines (Apple Human Interface Guidelines Google Material Design).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues in production environments.
Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Certifications in mobile development cloud architecture (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect TOGAF) or related fields.
Experience with cross-platform frameworks like Flutter or Xamarin.
Knowledge of mobile security best practices (e.g. secure storage encryption OAuth).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira.
Experience with hardware integrations (e.g. GPS Bluetooth NFC).
Primary Skills: Flutter/Dart (Google) React Native (Meta) Kotlin/Java for Android & Swift/Objective-C for iOS.
