Job Description

JOB TITLE: Sr. Manufacturing & Quality Engineer
LOCATION: Mesa AZ
PAY RATE: $60-62/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Act as the quality SME for composite and metallic fabrication assembly and integration.

  • Support shop floor teams daily resolving quality issues and driving real-time solutions.

  • Lead NCR dispositioning RCCA investigations and CAPA/CAB initiatives.

  • Conduct FAIs (AS9102) and verify compliance with requirements.

  • Review and approve MWIs inspection plans tooling documentation and drawings.

  • Apply expert-level GD&T for manufacturability tolerance analysis and design validation.

  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure production readiness and manufacturability.

  • Foster a proactive prevention-focused quality culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering or related field.

  • 10 years aerospace quality engineering experience including spacecraft or aircraft assembly.

  • SME in composites and metallic manufacturing.

  • Proven expertise in FAIs MWIs drawing reviews GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and NCR/MRB.

  • Strong leadership in RCCA CAPA and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Spacecraft or launch vehicle integration experience.

  • Lean Six Sigma certification.

  • Experience with CMMs and metrology systems.

  • Active or recent security clearance.
