MISSION HOSPITALWeekends: No weekend requirementMission Hospital Mission Hospital is an 815-bed acute care facility located in Asheville North Carolina. The hospital is known as the regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care and is the only Level II trauma center comprehensive stroke center and childrens hospital in western North Hospital offers a variety of specialties including cardiovascular orthopedics neurosciences oncology pediatrics womens services and behavioral health. The hospitals cardiovascular services include the only open heart and interventional cardiology in the region. Mission Hospital is also the second busiest surgical hospital in North Carolina. The quality of the facilitys services has earned much recognition such as being named among the nations best hospitals by U.S. News & World Report Truven Health Analytics and Healthgrades. The onsite Mission Childrens Hospital features 96 beds dedicated to infants and children including a 51-bed Level III Neonatal ICU. The hospitals pediatric services have also earned numerous awards and accreditations and provides 30 pediatric subspecialists. The hospital continues to grow and recently opened a new state-of-the-art patient tower that has over 630000 square feet which includes a new Emergency Department new interventional procedural rooms new operating rooms and hosts 220 private patient rooms.
