Company Name: Diil Infrastructure ChennaiWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with 4 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. You will support project teams with cost planning contract administration risk assessment and value engineering.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate cost estimates budgets and bills of quantities.
Monitor project budgets and control costs throughout project lifecycle.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk analyses to support tender submissions.
Evaluate and negotiate contract terms with clients subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare interim and final payment applications and assist with cash flow forecasting.
Conduct site visits and monitor progress against project milestones and budgets.
Analyze variations and change orders; prepare cost impact reports.
Liaise with project managers engineers and contractors to ensure cost-efficient delivery.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs materials and industry regulations.
Assist with dispute resolution and claims management.
Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 4 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry (commercial residential or infrastructure).
Strong understanding of construction methods contracts (e.g. FIDIC JCT) and procurement practices.
Proficient in cost estimation software (e.g. CostX Candy or similar).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
Strong analytical negotiation and communication skills.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Membership of a professional body (e.g. RICS AIQS CIQS or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract phases of construction projects.
