Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Engineering Lead to oversee the design implementation and support of enterprise desktop solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in endpoint engineering leadership skills to guide a small team and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver secure efficient and scalable desktop environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Desktop Engineering team in day-to-day operations project delivery and escalation management.
- Design deploy and manage enterprise endpoint solutions (Windows macOS VDI and mobile devices).
- Oversee packaging deployment and automation of applications using SCCM Intune or similar tools.
- Implement and maintain security standards patch management and compliance requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend desktop technologies tools and processes for continuous improvement.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for escalated desktop issues.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Security and Service Desk teams on enterprise IT initiatives.
- Document engineering standards processes and procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of experience in Desktop Engineering with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
