The Business Analyst (BA) with a security background plays a pivotal role in bridging business requirements with technical and security needs especially in the realms of application onboarding stakeholder engagement and Agile process participation. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented communicative and analytical professional driven to ensure the seamless integration of secure applications effective data gathering through surveys and collaborative teamwork within Agile environments.
Required Skills & Survey Design and Execution
- Design distribute and analyze surveys aimed at gathering business technical and security requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate survey findings into actionable insights presentations and recommendations for process improvements or security enhancements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure survey reach response quality and data privacy according to best practices.
- Summarize and present survey results to various audiences including executives technical teams and end-users.
- Utilize survey data to inform decisions regarding application onboarding user experience and workflow optimization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work closely with application owners developers and security teams to facilitate the onboarding of new applications ensuring adherence to organizational security standards and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct thorough security assessments of applications prior to onboarding identifying potential risks vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
- Develop documentation and process maps for onboarding workflows highlighting security checkpoints approval mechanisms and escalation paths.
- Collaborate with IT and InfoSec teams to implement security controls such as authentication authorization encryption and auditing as part of the onboarding process.
- Monitor and report on onboarding metrics tracking application readiness compliance status and post-onboarding reviews.
