- Graduate Assistants are responsible for organizing the assessment library distributing and collecting testing materials and managing classroom materials. During the Blended Academic-Year-In-Residence (B-AYR) and program academic residencies.
- The Graduate Assistant will also assist with classroom instruction skill building activities may assist in the development of learning activities/assignments for all B-AYR courses and may work on specific program projects when assisting with the in-person component of B-AYR courses and academic residencies.
- The candidate selected for this position will gain skills that include experience with operations clinical assessment and instructional skills at the graduate level.
Qualifications :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role: Clinical Psychology Graduate Assistant
- Candidates must be advanced doctoral students at Walden University enrolled in any graduate psychology program. Preference will be given to students in the PhD Clinical Psychology program.
- Candidates must have prior work experience in mental health and experience with therapy and assessment OR candidates without prior work experience must be enrolled in the PhD Clinical Psychology program AND have successfully completed all B-AYR coursework.
- The successful candidate(s) must have an overall GPA of 3.5 or better on all Walden University coursework completed and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
- Preference given to students who have completed field experience requirements.
- The Graduate Assistant should plan to commit approximately 10 hours per week when not attending the in-person component of B-AYR courses or program academic residencies. When attending the in-person component of B-AYR courses or academic residencies the selected candidate should plan to commit approximately 42-45 hours during the 7-9 day assignment.
- Work with the Instructional Services Support Specialist and staff to ensure consistent quality service to Walden students.
