We are seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor / Project Manager to join our award-winning Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) this leadership role you will manage both field and office survey teams to deliver boundary topographic SUE and transportation surveys for state DOT and municipal roadway projects. Youll play a pivotal role in project delivery client relationship management team mentoring and business development within our growing Survey discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage two or more field crews including scheduling assigning tasks and reviewing results.
- Compile and analyze field data; perform calculations; prepare plats and legal descriptions.
- Oversee QA/QC budgets schedules and invoicing to ensure project accuracy and profitability.
- Act as primary client contact representing the company at meetings and industry events.
- Mentor and coach survey staff conduct performance reviews and support career development.
- Collaborate with leadership on proposal preparation and pursuit strategies for new projects.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Active PLS license in at least one U.S. state OR ability to obtain licensure in the primary work state within six months (company-paid exam fees and reciprocity support).
- 8 years of progressive land surveying experience including DOT/roadway or transportation projects.
- Proficiency with MicroStation / OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Solid understanding of federal state and local survey regulations.
- Valid drivers license and ability to pass a 7-year background check.
- U.S. work authorization (or TN visa eligibility).
Preferred Skills
- Multistate licensure.
- SUE (Subsurface Utility Engineering) experience.
- Familiarity with aerial LiDAR or sUAS survey methods.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85000 - $145000/year based on licensure and leadership experience.
- Sign-On Bonus: $5000 - $10000 (paid at 90 days; relocation assistance available).
