We are seeking an experienced Licensed Land Surveyor / Survey Manager to lead our survey operations for high-profile civil transportation and municipal projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple field crews and office technicians for civil and transportation projects.
- Oversee project budgets schedules QA/QC and client communications.
- Coordinate with VDOT and local municipalities for roadway utility corridor and infrastructure surveys.
- Drive business growth through proposal development and client relationship management.
- Mentor and develop survey staff through coaching performance reviews and career planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local survey regulations.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to sit for the exam within 6 months (exam fees covered).
- 12 years of survey experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong DOT/municipal project experience.
- Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors in Surveying or Civil Technology preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Subsurface utility locating/designating expertise.
- Experience with LiDAR aerial mapping or sUAS operations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary $85000 - $145000 based on licensure and leadership experience.
