Our client is a global leader in providing multilingual localisation solutions specialising in digital interactive entertainment. By now it has completed hundreds of game localisation projects. Responsibilities
- Translate in-game text marketing materials and docs from Chinese to English (target 3K to 4k Chinese characters/day).
- Proofread and polish localized content (dialogue UI item descriptions tutorials) ensuring fluency grammar consistency and cultural appropriateness (target 6k to 8k Chinese characters/day).
- Work with the localization team to align content with gameplay and narrative flag cultural sensitivities and use CAT tools to maintain translation memories and glossaries.
Requirements
- Language: either native English with advanced Chinese (HSK6) or native Chinese with advanced English (IELTS 8.5 / CEFR C2).
- 3 years in game localization (Chinese to English) with CAT tool proficiency.
- Strong cultural awareness of English-speaking markets attention to detail self-motivated able to work remotely/asynchronously.
- Passion for gaming and familiarity with gaming
- Preferred: Experience with Leading Chinese game developers interest in ACG scifi/fantasy history/mythology and background in linguistics or creative writing; knowledge of localization workflows.
