Job Summary

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant II to provide advanced diversified and confidential administrative support to department management. This role will handle daily administrative activities coordinate office functions and support departmental operations with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of administrative duties including word processing record keeping and filing.
  • Arrange meetings schedule activities and prepare agendas.

  • Maintain department documents in compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
  • Prepare reports correspondence and presentations often of a confidential nature.
  • Provide office management support for departmental leadership.

  • Initiate contract requisitions and process contract changes as directed.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to create and edit documents spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Assist in the coordination of department projects and tasks ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Maintain professional interactions with internal staff senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills

Nuclear industry experience preferred.

Required Education and Experience

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of four years of progressive administrative experience including leadership responsibilities and independent decision-making.
  • Demonstrated record of professional development related to job enhancement or career growth.

Desired Education and Experience

  • Knowledge and experience using Asset Suite and SharePoint.

Required Abilities and Skills

Candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
  • Strong administrative organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle complex projects and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.

  • Strong problem-solving skills judgment and decision-making abilities.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Professional interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

  • Capability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
