Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist
Join an esteemed medical center in Mason City Iowa renowned for its growing cardiac surgery program. This facility equipped with 8 operating rooms represents a commitment to exemplary patient care and advanced medical practices. As a Level II Trauma Center it offers a dynamic work environment where youll engage with a diverse patient demographic including adolescents adults and geriatric patients. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated professionals and contribute to the hospitals mission of delivering quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cardiac anesthesiology services for surgical procedures.
- Oversee the anesthesia for general surgeries when cardiac cases are not scheduled.
- Participate in the supervision of anesthesia providers and trainees in the operating room.
- Ensure high standards of patient safety and care during anesthesia procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals for effective patient management.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in the EMR system.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesiology (Preferred; Board Eligible will be considered).
- Active Iowa Medical License or IMLC (Must upload copy of LOQ).
- TEE Certified - must be able to read interpret and bill TEE procedures.
- Cardiac Fellowship is preferred; extensive experience may be acceptable if TEE certified.
- Current certifications in BLS ACLS and PALS.
- COVID vaccinated.
- Availability for required coverage dates.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Iowa license or IMLC (Required).
- TEE Certification (Required).
- Current certifications in BLS ACLS and PALS (Required).
- COVID Vaccination (Required).
