Job Description

Trainee Paralegal Residential Conveyancing
Location: Spalding Lincolnshire
Salary: Dependent on experience

Overview
A progressive and forward-thinking law firm is seeking a motivated and organised Trainee Paralegal to join its busy Residential Conveyancing team in Spalding. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in property law within a supportive and professional environment.

The Role
This role involves assisting with and undertaking routine residential conveyancing work ensuring transactions are progressed efficiently and clients receive an exceptional standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support fee earners with a caseload of conveyancing matters

  • Provide fee quotations to clients

  • Carry out property searches and liaise with estate agents

  • Prepare standard contract documentation

  • Assist with enquiries exchanges completions and post-completion formalities (including Stamp Duty Land Tax Companies House and Land Registry registrations)

  • Close completed files in accordance with procedures

  • Maintain accurate records of time spent on client and internal work

  • Keep up to date with relevant legal developments and best practice

  • Work to department targets and objectives while maintaining high client care standards

Person Specification

Essential

  • Law degree or relevant legal experience

  • Understanding of residential conveyancing processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Teams)

  • Strong communication planning and organisational skills

  • Ability to work methodically in a process-driven environment

  • Commitment to delivering a high-quality service

  • Professional positive and flexible approach

Desirable

  • Knowledge of case management systems (particularly Visual Files)

  • Understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations
