Framestore is currently seeking both experienced and entry-level Concept Artists to join the Art Department.
Working as part of our team of artists and producers you will design and develop concept artwork for a variety of projects styles and genres including character design environments props effects and key frames. From a written or verbal client brief providing mood boards sketches & ideas through to full colour concepts and 3D models.
Projects range from pitch packages early script development and pre-production design through to visual effects design. Essential Skills Excellent 2D skills and knowledge of traditional art techniques. Some experience working with 3D applications. An excellent understanding of anatomy character/creature design colour theory perspective lighting and composition. Be able to design a variety of original concepts including interior and exterior environments and accompanying scene objects. Be fluent in working with digital media (e.g. Photoshop). Be able to quickly render imaginative concepts from the verbal and written direction. Work well in and communicate ideas within a team environment. Be a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic. Desirable Skills Skills working with 3D software such as ZBrush or Blender. A passion for films and visual effects!
