Job Description
Our client a well-established CNC manufacturing company in Lake County IL is seeking a skilled Application Engineer to join their growing team. This is your opportunity to work in a collaborative innovative and customer-focused environment while traveling across the USA Canada and Mexico to support top-tier clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field service at customer facilities to maintain and repair CNC tool & cutter grinding machines.
- Work extensively with Straustak machines and Numroto software.
- Provide on-site phone and email support including troubleshooting answering maintenance inquiries and assisting with part identification.
- Install new CNC grinding machines at customer locations.
- Travel up to 50% within the USA Canada and Mexico to support customer operations.
Qualifications Required:
- Experience with Straustak machines (as operator or technician)
- Proficiency in Numroto software
- CNC grinding machine troubleshooting skills (mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical mechanical and technical drawings
- Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude
Qualifications Preferred:
- Experience traveling to customer sites for technical support
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic understanding of electrical and fluid power circuits
