Job Description

This entry-level position is responsible for performing a wide range of Benefit related functions including assistance to the Benefits team for a variety of special projects.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Assisting with the administration of various benefit programs such as group insurance medical and dental accident and disability and health maintenance programs.
  • Organizing and taking part in meetings designed to help team members obtain information and understand company benefits and other related wellness programs.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new team members into benefit programs ensuring accurate enrollment and timely processing.
  • Monitor changes to Team Members benefits due to life events (ex. marriage birth adoption etc.)
  • Must be able to present benefit new hire presentations in front of very large groups.
  • Coordinate with benefit vendors to ensure accurate and timely enrollment and changes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Team Member benefits inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Supports all benefit related communications including open enrollment materials/presentations and training.
  • Recognizing the need to remain flexible and display a strong sense of urgency.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Have a very high sense of urgency
  • Proficient in Word Excel HRIS and other MS Office products
  • Exhibit strong communication skills with a high level of service to all team members face to face over the phone and in written communication
  • Must be comfortable with presenting in front of groups
  • Very Strong organizational skills
  • Desire to learn
  • Be an innovative thinker with a yes mentality

This position requires on-site attendance at our headquarters in Pontiac MI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR Degree or HR/Benefit Experience
  • Experience with an HRIS system
