PFM is currently seeking experienced Project Manager (internally titled Senior Managing Consultant) to work in our public finance practice. The successful candidate(s) will work with Transportation clients travel will be required as client needs dictate. The position is based in our Orlando office and has a hybrid work arrangement.
Candidates will be expected to successfully operate in the specialized field of public finance and be nimble in a dynamic fast-paced environment in which they are given significant be successful one must have a superior understanding of the financial markets at least five years of experience working in public sector finance advisory services consulting and/or underwriting and a demonstrated ability to manage a business plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintain & expand existing relationships with clients in state local government transportation agencies and public utilities to support a growing business.
- Attending trade shows and conferences
- Gathering information to submit and complete proposals
- Acting as the primary or secondary point of contact for client questions
- Serving on PFMs marketing team up through the point of final prospect interviews
- Developing and independently implementing a marketing plan to bring in new business
- Develop full range of financial solutions and quantitatively analyze options to meet our clients capital financing needs.
- Generate & coordinate client deliverables including the successful implementation of financing transactions.
- Manage financing teams and oversee timely performance by all staff.
- Present financial analysis reports and other materials to clients at meetings.
- Management mentorship and training of financial analysts and associate staff.
- Collaborate across multiple internal & external teams to support the long-term growth of the business practice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years of work experience preferably in public sector/municipal finance banking trust or financial services arena demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.
- Knowledge of and contacts within the state and local governments as well as the sector of focus.
- Currently holds MSRB Series 50 certification or able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Familiarity with transactions including complex financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong quantitative problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent writing skills and effective personal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Word Excel and PowerPoint.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $90000 - $125000; this position is also eligible for annual performance-based bonuses. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills experience qualifications and geographic location.
