Job Description
This role is for a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital setting. The Surgical Technologist will assist surgical teams during operations ensuring a sterile environment and providing necessary instruments and supplies. The position requires a minimum of three years of experience and may involve floating between units within the hospital.
- Assisting the surgical team with instrument and supply needs.
- Maintaining accurate inventory of surgical supplies.
- Preparing patients for surgery.
- Assisting with post-operative care as needed.
- Adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Maintaining detailed records of surgical procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with the surgical team.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Current BLS certification.
- Active Surgical Technologist license (or equivalent) in the state of employment.
- Advanced surgical techniques proficiency.
- Knowledge of different surgical equipment and instruments.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- May be required to work overtime or irregular hours.
