Inventory Controller 3rd Shift (Onsite)
Location: Knoxville TN Laboratory Facility
Job Type: 12-Month Contract Full-Time (40 hrs/week) Onsite
Shift Schedule: 3rd Shift Monday Friday 10:30 PM 7:00 AM
Overtime: Available not mandatory
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our Knoxville laboratory team on the 3rd shift. This role is responsible for managing shipping receiving storage and distribution of materials supplies and laboratory specimens. The position requires accuracy strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Perform physical and administrative tasks related to shipping receiving storing and distributing materials supplies specimens and equipment
Receive document unpack and reconcile deliveries against packing lists
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inbound and outbound sample shipments
Organize and manage inventory ensuring proper storage security and accountability
Prepare and maintain shipping records for outbound materials and specimens
Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Safely handle biohazardous materials in compliance with laboratory standards
Support laboratory facility upkeep including grounds and assigned maintenance tasks
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as part of daily activities
Perform additional duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
Frequent walking standing bending and squatting
Regular lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs
Exposure to hazardous chemicals extreme temperatures and blood-borne pathogens (with PPE provided)
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in material handling or facility maintenance
Familiarity with SAP software
