Job Description

DATE:August 15 2025

POSITION: Title I Translator

SALARY: ($2785.12 MONTHLY STARTING SALARY) (Federally funded 2025-2026 school year)

WORK LOCATION: Rowland Norment Elementary School

REPORTS TO: Principal

DEADLINE DATE FOR RECEIVING APPLICATIONS:August 28 2025

EMPLOYMENT: 10 months yearly

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid North Carolina Drivers License
  • High School Diploma
  • 48 Semester Hours or 2 Year Associates Degree preferred (transcript required)
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Availability and willingness to work extended hours
  • Above average interpersonal skills

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists with enrollment of students
  • Assists school administrators guidance counselors nurse social workers and other student support services in communicating with parents
  • Assists administrators and school staff with parent conferences and communicating with parents
  • Serves as a liaison between the school and community
  • Assists in providing parent training classes
  • Translates important LEA and school documents
  • Assists in maintaining the school web page
  • Interprets and sends messages through various notification systems
  • Interprets parent/IRP meetings
  • Attends meetings and training sessions as requested
  • Upholds the guidelines outlined in FERPA
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain PSRC documentation log
