International Card Services (ICS) brings together our International Consumer and Small & Medium Size Enterprises (SME) issuing activities as well as our Commercial Large Market sales and account development teams. ICS issues Cards in 26 countries and is responsible for three Joint Ventures covering around a dozen countries. The leaders in these countries are empowered to make decisions at a local level in partnership with other local business leaders. Local teams are supported by two cross-market teams the Centre of Excellence and Risk & Control Management.
How will you make an impact in this role
Commercial payment products for small and medium sized businesses are an integral part of the business strategy for Card Services UK and the SME market segment remains a strong opportunity for outstanding growth. To support this goal we require additional Business Development Managers for our SME Sales Team in Brighton. This is a telephone-based role (no face-to-face client interaction) specifically providing consultative dialogue to inform and close sales and increase American Express share in the SME segment. Candidates must have a proven track record of driving results in sales and / or B2B cold-callingenvironments. Strong communication skills are critical. Success will be measured by theability to engage / motivate prospectseffective pipeline managementandspend generated by the Card Members signed.
