Job Description
SUMMARY:
The person in this position works in the transportation field initially as a crew hauler with the potential for advancement into a conductor or engineer position. Crew haulers transport employees and are accountable for safe driving and work practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive 2 3 employees from depot to train and train to depot.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage maintenance
Communicate with customers and connecting carriers
Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Ability to work in a 24/7 work environment with exposure to outside weather conditions
Basic knowledge of mechanics and vehicle maintenance
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:
High school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
One year of work experience or equivalent training; two years of experience in a 24/7 work environment with exposure to outside weather conditions preferred
Valid drivers license
