Job Summary

Northwest Specialty is seeking a patient-focused and detail-oriented Utilization Review Case Manager (RN) to join our Case Management team!

**$1500 SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION**

The individual in this position is responsible to facilitate care along a continuum through effective resource coordination to help patients achieve optimal health access to care and appropriate utilization of resources balanced with the patients resources and right to self-determination. The individual in this position has overall responsibility for ensuring that care is provided at the appropriate level of care based on medical necessity and to assess the patient for transition needs to promote timely throughput safe discharge and prevent avoidable readmissions.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Active Idaho Registered Nurse license or Masters Social Work license
  • 5 Years acute orthopedic surgical hospital nursing or social work experience and 2 3 years acute hospital Case Management experience
  • Experience utilizing MCG or Interqual
  • Demonstrated organization skills
  • Ability to lead and coordinate activities of a diverse group
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literacy to include Microsoft word excel and outlook
