Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Administration
Supervise WIC Office Assistants and maintain a supportive clinic environment.
Ensure adequate front desk coverage at all main sites.
Coordinate staff schedules clinic coverage and leave requests.
Review and sign staff timecards when the WIC Director is unavailable.
Recommend staffing adjustments to the WIC Director.
Train staff in office procedures and WIC protocols.
Submit required reports and complete quarterly equipment inventory.
Ensure compliance with State WIC Agency policies.
Clinical Support
Explain the WIC program and determine client eligibility.
Collect and update client information schedule/reschedule appointments and follow up on missed visits.
Issue benefits print/mail paperwork and answer participant questions.
Support clinic flow notify staff and clients of delays or schedule changes.
Ensure all client information is accurate confidential and complete.
Provide a welcoming clinic environment including private areas for breastfeeding mothers.
Clerical Duties
Oversee office supply inventory and submit orders as needed.
Handle mail calls faxes and office maintenance requests.
Ensure clinics are clean safe open on time and secured at the end of the day.
Professional Development & Other Duties
Complete all required WIC training and continuing education.
Attend meetings workshops and outreach events as assigned.
Participate in quality improvement and community outreach activities.
Be flexible with other tasks as requested.
