Job Description
- Design and develop 2D and 3D models of automotive components including jigs fixtures and gear systems for dyno test cells
- Contribute to a variety of vehicle programs from pinnacle motorsports to commercial platforms
- Support electrification and engine test cell design as needed
- Apply surfacing CAD techniques for aerodynamic body components (preferred)
- Collaborate on aftermarket part design and engineering for road vehicles (preferred)
- Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) on jig and fixture designs
- Prepare and release detailed engineering drawings and documentation
- Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams for prototype and production builds
- Proficient in CATIA V6 and 3DExperience
- Strong surfacing CAD skills a plus
- Skilled in PC workstation hardware and Microsoft Office tools
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 23 years of experience in 2D/3D modeling and FEA for gears jigs and fixtures
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply standard codes
- Knowledge of mechanical and cost calculations raw material codes and design theory
- Strong project management time management and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to work independently
